The war of words before the war starts on Wednesday afternoon.
Before Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder square off in the squared circle for a third time this Saturday night, the heavyweight titans get behind microphones on Wednesday, in what should be a highly entertaining press conference between the two goliath fighters — and speakers.
Wilder, looking to finally unseat Fury and grab back the WBC green strap (and The Ring heavyweight title), gets his third crack at Fury in Vegas. Their first fight ended in unsatisfactory fashion, with a split decision draw handed down by the judges. In 2020, the duo ran it back, this time with Fury gaining the convincing win over Wilder with a seventh-round TKO.
On the other side, Fury is entering this fight on a three-fight winning streak, with wins over Tom Schwarz, Otto Wallin and Wilder in 2019 and 2020. This is Fury’s first fight since downing Wilder in 2020.
Before they throw hands on Saturday night, they’ll lob bombs on the microphone on Wednesday. Here’s how you can watch today’s Wilder-Fury presser:
