Zach Wilson appears to have dodged serious injury on Sunday.
The Jets quarterback was hit by Matthew Judon in the second quarter of the Jets-Patriots matchup in Foxborough, and would lay on the turf for several minutes before eventually getting up and walking to the sideline under his own power.
Wilson seemed to have issues with his right knee before getting up to walk to the sideline.
On the play prior, Wilson was hit by defensive lineman Lawrence Guy, which wasn’t flagged for Roughing the Passer, despite the low and late tackle.
After returning to the locker room, the Jets would officially list Wilson as questionable to return with a knee injury. The Jets would later rule him out just after the start of the second half.
Wilson and the Jets offense got off to yet another sluggish start, with Wilson going 6-of-10 passing and a near interception on the play on which he was injured. The Patriots would take advantage, taking a 31-7 halftime lead.
In relief, backup quarterback Mike White capped off the drive following Wilson’s injury with a three-yard touchdown pass to Corey Davis to close the gap to 17-7.
The Patriots took the first meeting with the Jets, earning a 25-6 Week 2 victory.
